:: who i am and motivations ::

this site exists because i am very much a student and lover of the democratic process as a whole.  over the past three decades the 18-30 age demographic barely put a dent in voting outcome even in presidential elections and it is my hope to both explore the democratic process, our thgree branches of government in detail, follow up to the minute tidbits of political interest and attempt to be at least a small part in the underlying whole that represents the catalyst that will ignite the wildfire that must burn before folks in my age bracket lose interest and ultimately renounce their inherant constitutionally protected right that so many people have laid their lives on the alter of freedom to ensure they keep: the right to vote so few arrogantly toss aside as irrelevant.  if i can plant a seed in the soul of a single individual, inspire college students to peraceably assemble and make policy decisions through their right to vote i know that we will have honored those that opened their veins to ensure the stripes on our countries flag remain red.  i am a twenty something disabled individual in the twilight of my life having fought the good fight against the demon that is cerebral palsy and if i am doomed to remain still i refuse to let go of the belief that i haven't the skill and prowess needed to make a difference, even if the only part of me that moves are my fingers on the keyboard.  there is no doubt that my disability will claim my life, and in that respect i am a spartan facing the armies of the persian empire as they descend on thermopolie.  my fall may be certain, but before i open and close my eyes for the last time the enemy i cannot see smell taste or touch will shudder at the bellow of my battle cry.  in the face of arrows that are certain to blot out the sun i am resolute to fight in the shade, and fall a warrior that never once shied away from battles few can say that they foughtt on similar grounds -- or circumstances.
